Our History
Logan Acres Care Center continues a strong and rich legacy of providing care to the residents of Logan County. Beginning in 1849 with the purchase of 164 acres of land for the care of indigent and ill citizens, the Logan County Commissioners have provided a place to meet the health related needs of the public. Over the years the site has provided numerous types of services but the desire to provide excellent care has always been the same.

In June of 2006, we became Logan Acres Care Center as we occupied a new modern facility located at the same location. In 2011 we added The Homestead at Logan Acres, a 24-unit building offering apartment living with assistance. At that time the campus name was changed to Logan Acres Senior Community. The facilities are designed with a country style of architecture, which fits in with the beautiful rural setting that surrounds us. We believe the warm, friendly environment lends itself to an inviting atmosphere that continues the legacy of excellence.

Person Centered Care
We at Logan Acres Senior Community are committed to the concept of Person Centered Care. Person Centered Care is a philosophical approach to nursing home care that honors and respects the voice of elders and those working closest with them. It involves a continuing process of listening, trying new things, and perfecting our skills in an effort to individualize care and de-institutionalize the nursing home environment promoting an abundant life for those we care for.
