The Central Ohio Youth Center is a 38 bed, four county district (Delaware, Union, Champaign and Madison) joint juvenile detention facility and Community Residential Center (CRC). The CRC program is for chronic male juvenile offenders. The facility houses both male and female youth. COYC's philosophy is to bridge the gap between trauma and delinquency and understand that trauma is often the root of many behaviors. We build on strengths that promote resiliency and encourage adolescents to take control of their lives. COYC is a fast paced facility that provides a safe and structured environment that focuses on providing quality care for the youth that we serve. COYC is a 24 hour facility that operates on three shifts (6a-2p, 2p-10p, and 10p-6a) with overtime options available.
