Union County Health Department
The Union County Health Department is located in Marysville, Ohio just 30 miles Northwest of Columbus. The Union County Health Department provides public health services for the approximately 52,000 residents of Ohio's third fastest growing county. The Union County Health Department is an agency of approximately 33 full-time employees that is committed to progressive and efficient service to our community. With a flexible and friendly work environment, the Union County Health Department provides opportunities for autonomy and professional development.
The Union County Health Department (UCHD) was created in 1919 in response to the 1918 flu pandemic. Today, the Union County Health Department is made up of five divisions: Nursing, Environmental Health, Help Me Grow, Health Education, and Vital Statistics. These divisions provide services directly to our residents as well as services that protect our community as a whole. UCHD's main functions are to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, promote health and well-being, and assist in healthy development.
