The Union County Health Department serves the public health needs of one of the fastest growing counties in Ohio. The Union County Health Department is located in Marysville, Ohio, just about a 35-minute drive from Columbus. With a team of approximately 40 full-time and part-time employees, we are committed to progressive and efficient service to our approximately 65,000 residents, a vibrant and growing business sector, and invested and dedicated community partners. The Union County Health Department has been serving our community for more than 100 years. Today, the Union County Health Department is made up of four divisions: Nursing, Environmental Health, Health Education, and Administration/Vital Statistics. These divisions provide services directly to our residents as well as services that protect our community as a whole. Our main functions are to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, promote health and well-being, and assist in healthy development. Governed by our seven-member Board of Health, our team is encouraged to innovate and put their passion to work.
